Swing (from which came Modern Jive and Ceroc in the 70s and 80s) is the umbrella term for many dance styles such as Rock‘n’Roll, Boogie Woogie and Lindy Hop. Swing was first born in the US to the big band sound of the late 20’s, 30’s and 40’s and it was in the dance clubs that the legendary bands developed their style. It was said that the best band was the one that kept the dance floor filled! Lindy Hop is arguably the original Swing Dance and our teachers will be able to teach you the fundamentals of this exciting dance of an earlier time. |
